Approved by OET

The SLC OET Placement Test has been approved by OET as part of our Premium Preparation Provider accreditation. It assesses your ability to understand and use a combination of Medical, Exam and General English. It is not a mock OET test.   The OET Placement Test has been used successfully with hundreds of OET candidates. We know it works.

What the results show

Each paper is marked with a grade based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The CEFR is used worldwide to describe language level. There are 6 categories – A1 (beginner), A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 (fluent). Grade B in OET is equivalent to a C1 level (advanced).   We differentiate into low-, mid-, and high- levels within these grades, so you get an accurate picture of your level. A typical result might be Listening high-B2, Reading mid-B2, Writing mid-B2 and Speaking C1, for example.   The results of your test show you how close or far away you are from the grades you need.
