Free early access for your care workforce to the AI Care Communication Trainer

Specialist Language Courses (SLC) has launched the AI Care Communication Trainer, a new AI-powered platform helping overseas-born care workers build the spoken communication skills needed for safe, person-centred care. Around 390,000 people in the UK’s direct care workforce were born overseas, and the platform gives them flexible, on-demand speaking practice that fits around shift patterns and builds confidence through realistic workplace conversations.
The platform lets care workers speak naturally with an AI service user across a wide range of realistic care scenarios. After each interaction, learners receive instant feedback based on SLC’s CPD-accredited care curriculum, while managers gain access to dashboards showing progress, strengths and areas requiring further support.
Unlike generic AI tools, every piece of feedback is aligned with recognised care standards rather than general-purpose language assessment.

Rigorously tested
The AI Care Communication Trainer was validated in two stages: first reviewed by 27 clinical experts and university faculty for safety and accuracy, then tested by 30 frontline care workers across residential care, supported living, home care and hospital settings.
Free pilot programme
SLC is inviting a small number of UK care organisations to join a free pilot for up to 10 staff members. Participating organisations get early access at no cost in exchange for feedback and the chance to contribute to an anonymised case study shaping future development. Places are limited.
