It targets your cultural, professional and linguistic needs, with focus units on UK life, culture and language, the NMC and HCPC, and essential communication skills when working with patients.

The course is online and optimised for mobile devices. It is media-rich with video, audio, voice-recording and interactive tasks throughout. There are PDFs for you to download and keep.

The course was developed in partnership with experts at the AHP Faculty at Herts and West Essex NHS Integrated Care System (ICS), ensuring the content is relevant, accurate and up-to-date.

This course is most useful for our IRs as it is an introduction to what to expect life to be like for them in the UK, helping them to settle in sooner to working in their first job in this country. With this and the support they receive when working here we hope they will feel part of the team sooner and happy working with their patients and colleagues at The Princess Alexandra Trust.

To better understand any concerns that AHPs encounter through their own experiences when first coming to live in the UK. To create a feeling of belonging in their new teams and roles and by offering them the pastoral support they need. I think this course is a wonderful addition to an IR toolkit.

Being an International Recruit, I feel that I could comment on the content of the course by relating it to my own recent experience of arriving and living in the UK. I think that future IR recruits will benefit from undertaking a course like this. I know I would have liked to.

This course is very informative and covers a wide span of information needed to foster the transition of working in the UK. It will be a very instrumental guide in the process and sets AHPs well on their way to a great experience in a new country.

It also gives one a broad understanding of the various slangs, everyday words/phrases used in different regions, which is good for ease of communication. I will highly recommend the training for every international recruit.

It is educative and very detailed. It will be nice to do the course prior to entering the UK or within the first one month.

I must say, it was a very educational and entertaining. The content was concise and effective. I learnt a lot and I am sure it will be very useful to persons who newly relocate to the UK. I appreciate the fact that the course is interactive and I believe it will be a selling point in encouraging others to be a part of it. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this initiative
