This short online course supports overseas social carers to settle successfully into life and work in the UK.
It has units on UK life, culture and the practicalities of living here, including housing, schools, banking and driving. There is a section on the many different accents, dialects and idiomatic expressions heard across the country. And there is an extensive section covering a range of essential communication skills to use at work.
The course is online and optimised for mobile devices. It is media-rich with video, audio, voice-recording, interactive tasks and links to a wide range of websites to explore and read further.
