This English for Nurses course teaches you the English you need to study and work in an English-speaking healthcare environment, attend presentations, conferences and seminars given in English, and keep up with nursing journals and research written in English.

Set at a B1-B2 level of English (intermediate), English for Nurses covers multiple areas of care common to nursing – from patient admission, to discussing pain, pressure area care, falls and injuries, IV therapy, infection control, breathing difficulties, administering medications, surgery and end-of-life care.

During the course, you study all aspects of nursing English, including vocabulary, clinical communication, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. There is a very wide range of activities, including interactive recording where you record and listen to yourself in conversation with a patient.

You can take this course on PC, tablet and phone, and download it so you can study offline. By subscribing, you can study whenever you want and for as long as suits you.

The course is designed for nurses and nursing students. It is not a general English or even a general healthcare English course. It focuses on the language needed by nurses in practice – with patients, with colleagues, in hospital and care settings, and when discussing and researching symptoms, conditions and treatments.

This online course is also excellent preparation for OET Nursing, required by regulatory bodies for nurses who want to work in English-speaking countries such as the UK, Ireland, US and Australia. About the course

In addition, at the end of each unit there is a quiz to make sure you have understood the most important language items.
