SIFE: Is Signing Off Without a Language Test Really Working for NHS Nurses?
Back to Menu ↩ When the NMC introduced the SIFE pathway in 2023, it was intended to solve a real and pressing problem: internationally educated
SLC works with healthcare employers and recruitment companies to enable international nurses, doctors, AHPs, and healthcare support workers to pass English tests, relocate successfully to the UK, and improve their clinical communication skills so they can both meet regulatory requirements and provide safe and effective care to patients in the UK.
SLC’s courses are online and work on all devices, so learners can study from wherever they are. We have supported NHS candidates on projects across the UK, Africa, Europe and Asia, including the Indian subcontinent, the Gulf and the Philippines.
NHS employers can view learning progress in detail at any time through the dynamic reporting system and regular academic reviews.
