This short online course supports international nurses to settle successfully into life and work in the UK.
It targets their cultural, professional and linguistic needs, with focus units on UK life, culture and language, the NHS, the NMC, the Code, revalidation, trade unions and the Equality Act, along with a section on essential communication skills when interacting with patients and colleagues.
The course can be taken as standalone digital study or combined with group sessions with an experienced language and communications skills tutor. They work with learners to address their specific needs, give targeted input and feedback, and build their confidence.
The course is optimised for all devices, including phones. It is media-rich with video, audio, voice-recording, interactive tasks and links to a wide range of websites to explore and read further.
