SLC partners with m2r Education on new Teach English in Uzbekistan programme
News · Partnerships & International
Specialist Language Courses (SLC) is delighted to announce a new partnership with m2r Education to deliver a major new Teach English in Uzbekistan programme, recruiting full-time native English-speaking teachers into public junior high and high schools across the country.

The initiative forms part of a wider education programme commissioned by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, via the Global Youth Development Alliance. Successful candidates will be deployed into schools nationwide to deliver English language education and support Uzbekistan’s long-term foreign language strategy — raising the quality of classroom teaching and helping students build a deeper understanding of both the language and the wider English-speaking world.
For SLC, this programme is a natural next step in work we have been doing in Uzbekistan for several years. We have partnered with both government bodies and private organisations across the country on English language teaching, teacher development and curriculum reform, and we are enormously proud of the contribution we have made to English language education reform there. Joining forces with m2r Education — a Department for Business and Trade Export Champion and a recognised leader in international teacher recruitment, training, tuition and AI-powered assessment — allows us to extend that impact significantly.
The partnership was made possible through our shared membership of the UK Skills Partnership (UKSP), where both SLC and m2r are Associate Members committed to promoting UK education and TVET expertise on the international stage.

Peter Rodway, Director of SLC
“SLC works closely with both government and private partners across Uzbekistan and we’re enormously proud of the contribution we’ve made to English language education reform in the country. This new programme with m2r Education is a natural extension of that work. Any teacher taking up this opportunity will find themselves in a genuinely wonderful country, working with some of the most eager and motivated students you’ll find anywhere — it’s an experience I’d recommend without hesitation.”
Munir Mamujee, Director of m2r Education
“This is a fantastic project to be part of and we are looking forward to supporting the Ministry of Preschool and School Education in Uzbekistan. The collaboration with SLC also shows the power of networking and being part of professional trade organisations — if it wasn’t for UK Skills Partnership then this wouldn’t have happened.”
Full details of the programme, including how to apply, are available on m2r Education’s dedicated programme page.
