SLC’s Writing for Publication Course Selected for Medical University Prize Winners
We’re delighted to have been asked to provide the winners of the Medical University of Bialystok’s Postgraduate Research Showcase with Writing for Publication, our specialist course for researchers who want to publish their work in international journals.
Many congratulations to the 5 winners, all of whom have now received access to the online course, written by Professor John Skelton BA MA FRCGP (Hon), Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Clinical Science at the University of Birmingham. This is the second year running that Writing for Publication has been selected as the prize for the competition. The course is ideal for post-grad students writing in English. It sets out the structure and language needed to publish in English language journals, describing the conventions used and analysing multiple examples to demonstrate best practice. By the end of the course, students and researchers will have a clear idea of what they need to do to have their research successfully published.
Writing for Publication is available as a standalone course or can be combined with workshops given by experts in medical publishing. The workshops are designed for up to 12 participants, and focus on what researchers need to do to get their articles published, including proofreading, editing, preparing a paper, journal selection, and the submission process.
