Are you a medical professional who wants to work in an English-speaking country?
Then OET is the standard exam to test your language skills.
OET covers 12 healthcare professions, and it has 4 sections – Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing.
You need to pass each one, usually with a Grade B or C+.
There are lots of ways you can study for the OET. And there are plenty of free resources available online. Too many, maybe. It can be difficult to understand where you should go.
To help you, we’ve compiled a guide to the Top 5 OET free preparation materials of 2023.
Now all you need to do is learn, study, and pass the exam with a Grade B. Easy, right?
Whatever your medical career, the OET Reading section is the same.
To practise your comprehension skills, read health-related articles.
The Australian ABC Health site is a great free resource for learning new vocabulary.
The Listening section of OET is also the same for all professions.
To build up your listening skills, try The Health Foundation podcast.
It discusses the most important issues affecting the future of health and care for people in the UK. Recent episodes include What to do about dying?
Some websites provide training in activities for your profession.
They’re not specifically for OET, but will help you to get to Grade B in the Listening and Reading sections.
