There is a clear procedure to follow if you want to get a job as an international doctor in Australia.
Check out the steps down below:
Your school or university must be listed by the Australian Medical Council, and the World Directory of Medical Schools.
You can’t apply for registration until you have an offer of work.
This could be as a specialist, non-specialist, or doctor-in-training.
You can look for work on the jobs board of the Medical Journal of Australia. (If you wish to work as a GP in Australia, this post will give you more detailed information)
When you register as a doctor in Australia, the Australian Medical Council will assess your skills.
There are different pathways, depending on whether you have a specialism or not.
If you are on the standard pathway, you will probably have to take two exams to test your abilities.

As well your medical skills, your English language proficiency will be checked. If English is not your first language, you will need to have:

PTE Academic with a score of 65

TOEFL iBT with a score of 94
